Academic Regulations

  • Prior to applying for courses at Regional College of Management (RCM), applicant must acquaint himself/herself with the rules and regulations of the Institute.
  • Academic activities in any academic year are regulated by an academic calendar approved by the Director of RCM. It is mandatory for both students and faculty to strictly follow the academic calendar. Any deviation from the same is strictly monitored directly by the Office of the Director.


  • Two Year Full-Time (Approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Government of India)
  • The Regional College of Management (RCM), offers a two-year full time diploma program on management and marketing, on completion of which, the candidates are conferred with Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM).
  • Each year shall be divided into three trimesters. First & Fourth trimester shall ordinarily begin in July and end in October. Second & Fifth trimester shall begin in November and end in January. Third & Sixth trimester shall begin in February and end in April.
  • In addition, there will be a Summer Term that shall ordinarily begin in May and end in 30th June. Sometimes due to delay in admission formalities, if the First trimester (for fresh students) is delayed by few days, the subsequent Second and Third Trimester may be correspondingly delayed. But in no case the Summer Term duration shall be less than 6 weeks. It would be desirable to have 60 teaching days per trimester excluding examinations.
  • This program is highly sought after and is rated as one of the finest of its kind in the nation. The alumni of this program currently occupy very prestigious positions in various industries, globally.

Eligibility Criteria

  • The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Management is at least 3-year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline recorecognized by the Association of Indian Universities/AICTE as eligible for Post Graduate studies or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Govt of India.
  • Candidates are required to have a minimum 50% aggregate in the graduation or degree exam which is down to 45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category.
  • All candidates must possess a valid MAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT/ATMA/OJEE score.
  • Candidates in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree or course may also apply. However, they are required to furnish the proof of pursuing graduation (Mark sheets till final semester).
  • The eligibility for admission to PGDM Program of the Institute shall be same as the one revised by AICTE from time to time.
  • At the beginning of each trimester, a student has to register for the subjects that he/she wishes to study. Only such registered students will be allowed to attend classes and appear at examinations.
  • Admission shall ordinarily close prior to the commencement of the instruction in First Trimester.

Eligibility for Admission into 2nd Year

A candidate is eligible for registration into the 2nd year provided he/she has registered and appeared for all the papers in the Mid-term & End Term tests in the first year and has secured a minimum CGPA of 5.


  • Admission to all PGDM Courses and PGCM Courses shall be done through common entrance tests CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ GMAT/ CMAT and common entrance examinations (if any) conducted by the respective State Governments for all Institutions other than Minority Institutions.
  • Weightage for Common entrance tests, Group discussion, Interview, Work experience and academic performance as suggested below shall be used for preparing merit list.

Documents Required for Admission Procedure

  • Photocopies of the following documents and photograph are to be submitted along with the application.
  • Class 10th mark sheet and Certificate
  • Class 12th mark sheet and Certificate
  • Degree mark sheet and Certificates (Provisional acceptable)
  • Entrance Score Card
  • One recent colored pass port size photographs

Note: The final year graduating students are required to submit the Class10th, 12th mark sheet, certificate and photograph with an undertaking to submit the degree pass mark sheet/certificate.

Admission Procedure

Eligible candidate will be intimated for appearing

  • Group discussion
  • Personal interview

This phase assesses personality attributes like, leadership abilities, grasping capability, analytical thought process, communication skills etc.

Final selection is done on the basics of

  • Career marks
  • Score in the test (MAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA/OJEE)
  • Score in GD/PI
  • Work Experience/Extracurricular activities

Final Admission

Selected candidates will be called in for completion of admission procedure. Candidates are required to bring two set of attested photocopies of the following documents:

  • Class 10th mark sheet and Certificate
  • Class 12th mark sheet and Certificate
  • Degree mark sheet and Certificates
  • 2 recent colored, passport size photographs and 2 colored stamp size photographs
  • Caste certificate if any.

Original documents to be submitted at the time of admission are:

  • Entrance Score Card
  • College Leaving Certificate
  • Conduct Certificate from the institute last attended
