Academic Regulations


MBA Program is of two years’ duration. Each year shall be divided into two semesters. First semester shall ordinarily begin in August and end in December. Second semester shall begin in January and end in May. In addition, there will be a Summer Term that shall ordinarily begin in May and end in July. Sometimes due to delay in admission formalities, if the First semester (for fresh students) is delayed by few days, the subsequent Second semester may be correspondingly delayed. But in no case the Summer Term duration shall be less than 6 weeks. Each year, the University shall draw an Academic Calendar and the same shall be non-negotiable and strictly adhered to. The Academic Calendar for the First year shall be handed over to each admitted student along with his/her University Registration Card. Second year Academic Calendars shall be made available during registration for fourth semester.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility for admission into the management courses MBA is any graduate with a valid OJEE /MAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT score i.e.

  • Candidates with minimum 50% aggregate in the Degree exam and 45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category from a recognized university. Final year students awaiting results may also apply.
  • Tests accepted: Valid OJEE /CAT/C-MAT/MAT/XAT

Documents Required Along With Application

Photocopies of the following documents and photograph are to be submitted along with the application.

  • Class 10th mark sheet and Certificate
  • Class 12th mark sheet and Certificate
  • Degree mark sheet and Certificates (Provisional acceptable)
  • Entrance Score Card
  • One recent colored pass port size photographs

Note: The final year graduating students are required to submit the Class10th, 12th mark sheet, certificate and photograph with an undertaking to submit the degree pass mark sheet/certificate.

Selection Procedure

Eligible candidate will be intimated for appearing

  • Group discussion
  • Personal interview

This phase assesses personality attributes like, leadership abilities, grasping capability, analytical thought process, communication skills etc.

Final selection is done on the basics of

  • Career marks
  • Score in the test (MAT/CAT/XAT/ATMA/OJEE)
  • Score in GD/PI
  • Work Experience/Extracurricular activities
  • Additional academic qualification

Application form for OJEE can be obtained by

  • Candidates interested to take admission are advised to appear for Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (O-JEE-2016).
  • Online registration can be done through OJEE website

Admission to all MBA Courses shall be done through common entrance tests CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ ATMA/ GMAT/ CMAT and common entrance examinations (if any) conducted by the respective State Governments for all Institutions other than Minority Institutions. Weightages for Common entrance tests, Group discussion, Interview, Work experience and academic performance as suggested below shall be used for preparing merit list.

Documents Required While Admission

Submit 2 set of attested photocopies of the following documents and photographs while admission

  • Class 10th mark sheet and Certificate
  • Class 12th mark sheet and Certificate
  • Degree mark sheet and Certificates
  • Recent colored pass port size(2 nos.) and 2 colored stamp size photographs
  • Recent colored pass port size(2nos.) photographs

Original documents to be submitted at the time of admission are:

  • Entrance Score Card
  • College Leaving Certificate
  • Conduct Certificate from the institute last attended
